NEOM, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, November 14, 2023 – NEOM, the ambitious Saudi Arabian development project, has announced a significant partnership with Burgess, the leading global superyacht provider, setting the stage for Sindalah to emerge as a premier global yachting destination in 2024.

Sindalah, positioned off the north-west coast of Saudi Arabia, is set to be NEOM’s first unveiled asset. It promises an unparalleled luxury lifestyle and a state-of-the-art yachting ecosystem. This partnership with Burgess will enhance Sindalah’s maritime offerings, including yacht management, charter services, sales, insurance, and comprehensive support for new builds and refits.

Antoni Vives, Chief Urban Development and Islands Officer at NEOM, highlighted the strategic importance of this collaboration. “Our goal is to establish a world-class yachting destination that provides exceptional services to our guests and yacht owners. The collaboration with Burgess is pivotal in realizing our vision for Sindalah, particularly in enriching the chartering experience in the Red Sea,” Vives commented.

Burgess, having established a Middle East presence in 2016, brings a wealth of experience and a reputation for excellence in the superyacht sector. This expertise is deemed crucial in meeting the growing demand for high-end yacht services in the region. Jonathan Hind, Managing Director of Burgess Middle East, expressed excitement about being part of Sindalah’s development. “We’re committed to delivering an extraordinary experience to Sindalah’s superyacht clientele, aligning perfectly with NEOM’s vision,” Hind stated.

The partnership also benefits from the support of the Saudi Red Sea Authority (SRSA), instrumental in implementing yachting-friendly regulations in 2023. These regulations, focusing on large yacht chartering and private yacht visits, aim to streamline customer experiences while ensuring the protection of the Red Sea ecosystem. SRSA’s role extends to facilitating permits, regulating coastal tourism, and supporting infrastructure development, crucial in enhancing Sindalah’s appeal as a sustainable luxury yachting hub.

As Sindalah nears its grand opening in 2024, this partnership is set to redefine luxury yachting experiences, solidifying NEOM’s position as a global maritime destination. For more information on Sindalah, visit the Sindalah page.
